Disney Helps Celebrate National Entrepreneur Center’s 10th Anniversary
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., June 26, 2013 -Business owners, community leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs gathered earlier this month to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the National Entrepreneur Center.
Founded by Walt Disney World Resort, Orange County and the University of Central Florida, the center has been instrumental in assisting local small business owners in starting, sustaining and growing their companies.
“Supporting the National Entrepreneur Center is one way Walt Disney World Resort supports entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout our region,” said Nancy Gidusko, director of community relations for Walt Disney World Resort. “We applaud the center, its staff and volunteers for 10 years of helping local small business owners start and sustain their companies.”
Located in Orlando Fashion Square mall, the National Entrepreneur Center houses a variety of independent organizations that provide small businesses with resources, technology and assistance, including free business coaching and low-cost seminars. Hundreds of start ups have received assistance at the center and have leveraged the coaching resources. Since opening in 2003, the center has helped business owners access more than $150 million in small business loans.
