Westgate Resorts Awarded 2013’s Top 100 Companies for Working Families in Central Florida
Westgate Resorts, a leader in the timeshare and destination resort industries, was once again honored by the Orlando Sentinel as one of 2013’s Top 100 Companies for Working Families in Central Florida. This prestigious award is celebrating its 20th Anniversary of being the premier program in Central Florida to spotlight family-friendly employers that demonstrate a focused commitment to family and a work/life balance, and takes a close look at the core benefits, family-related benefits, work environment, communication and training provided by these companies.
Westgate considers its team members as the key to the organization’s success and is committed to continually enhancing its professional environment to support and promote work/life balance for all team members. These include, but are not limited to, implementing a leadership development curriculum for all current and future Westgate leaders, delivering an industry-leading Certified Field Trainer program to all front-line team members, annual back-to-school supply drive for team members in need, companywide merit increases, team-member recognition programs, and an onsite resource center for team members in need to confidentially access community services and support from the Westgate Foundation.
Over the next 18 months, Westgate will be making even more enhancements to enrich the quality of work life for their team members while improving its business and the outstanding vacation experiences delivered to its valued Westgate owners and guests.
“We are part of something much bigger than the timeshare industry,” says David Siegel, President and CEO of Westgate Resorts. “We are in the vacation experience business and I believe we can enhance the lives of every guest we touch by providing them the opportunity for a lifetime of wonderful vacation memories.”
